Secondary Parents will be hearing from a teacher this week about the possibilities of (because in-person learning is strictly voluntary on the students' part) setting up a time once a week (for a two hour period of time) to get extra help for students if they need it. You also need to understand that "going to school" right now (even in other districts) means one day a week for two hours in a classroom with no "new instruction", but rather with one teacher helping students with questions they may have about lessons from any of their classes that week (or helping them get in contact and not in-person with, another teacher). This is due to the Oregon Department of Education limiting cohorts that both students and teachers can be part of in a one week time period. Our overarching goal is to get students back to school EVERY DAY, ALL DAY by the start of the second nine weeks (Nov 1). Getting our students back FULL TIME is dependent on the Morrow County number of new COVID cases going down to a 3-week average of less than thirty new cases (or roughly less than ten per week).
